Hamburger/Beef Barley Soup



10 cups water
4-5 tbsp. beef soup base
1 jar blended tomatoes
5 cans tomato soup
4 cups shredded or small chunks carrots
6 diced potatoes
2 chopped onions
4 stalks celery
1 cup pearl or pot barley
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
4 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2lbs cooked hamburger ( you can also use roast beef or steak)

-Heat water and soup base in big soup pot.
-Stir to dissolve
-Add rest of ingredients.
-Bring to a boil.
-Reduce to medium heat and cook until vegetables are tender

I like the addition of the barley. Good idea. Sounds yummy on these cold days~
