Apple Crumb Cake

NOTE: Measurements in parentheses are for an 18" x 12" pan
Ingredients:
2 (6) cups sifted flour
1 (3) cup brown sugar
1/2 (1 1/2) cups rolled oats
3/4 (2 1/4)cup melted butter

1 (3) cup sugar
3 (9) tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 (1 1/2) tsp. salt
1 (3) cup water

1/4 (3/4) tsp. vanilla

4 (12) apples, thinly sliced (this is delicious with peaches as well)

Method:
- Combine flour, brown sugar, oatmeal and melted butter.
- Pat 1/2 of mixture into a 8" pan.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and water.
- Cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add vanilla
- Place apples in cooked mixture and spread over crumbs.
- Pat remaining crumbs over apples.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 50-55 min (less for peaches).
