Large head of green lettuce, rinsed and torn into bite-sized pieces 3 green onions, sliced finely on the diagonal 1 can (284 ml) mandarin oranges, drained
Dressing: 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 cup slivered caramalized almonds 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt Almonds
-Prepare the lettuce and combine with the green onions, oranges and the roasted almonds in a bowl.
-Add dressing
-Chill for about an hour before serving, remix dressing before tossing with the salad
Dressing:
-Combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.
Caramelized Almonds:
-Put tablespoon sugar in a heavy skillet.
-Add almonds, stir constantly over low heat until sugar melts, turns brown and collects on almonds.
- Remove from heat and break apart in small pieces
4 eggs 2 cups milk, scalded 1 tsp salt 1/2 cup water 5 cups flour 1 Tbsp instant yeast 4 cups cut up (in bite size pieces) farmer sausage and/or smoked ham.
-Scald milk and add salt. Allow to cool to “warm” Add warm water. -Beat eggs well, add to milk mixture. -Add half of flour. -Sprinkle in yeast. -Stir in sausage or ham. -Spread into greased 9X13 pan and 1 loaf pan, or all of it into a larger cookie sheet. -Cover with plastic and let rise 1 hour. -Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
Dough: 4 eggs 1 1/3 cups warm water 1 cup oil 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 7-8 cups flour
Filling: Chopped ham (or whatever meat) 1 can tomato soup 1 can tomato paste 1 cup pasta sauce 340 .g mozzarella cheese grated
-Mix dough as you would bread dough -Cover let rise one hour -Mix all filling ingredients together -Roll dough to 1/4 in. thickness and cut in large circles -Place 1 tbsp. filling in center of circle, fold in half -Press together edges with fork -Deep fry in oil until golden brown -Can be eaten fresh or frozen and reheated.
Layer 1- 10 thinly sliced potatoes/sprinkle with salt.
Layer 2-2 large chopped onions
Layer 3- 8 large thinly sliced carrots
Layer 4- 1 cup uncooked rice
Layer 5- 2 pkg. peas
Layer 6- 4lbs hamburger cooked, seasoned, and drained
Layer 7- 6 cans tomato soup + 6 cans water
-Put all ingredients in order in a roaster pan. -Bake @ 350F for 3 or more hours. Edit: I recently started cooking this in two 9x13 pans, this way it cooks more evenly and tastes MUCH better!
-Wash potatoes and cut into 8 wedges. -Mix remaining ingredients together. -Arrange potato wedges, peel side down in shallow baking pans. -Brush oil mixture over potatoes. -Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes until golden brown and tender. -Brush occasionally with oil mixture. -If more brownness is desired, broil for 2 to 5 minutes. -Top with grated cheese, return to oven to melt cheese.
1 ring farmer sausage (about 1 1/2 pounds), sliced in 1/2 inch pieces
2 stalks celery, sliced 1 large onion, sliced 1 green pepper, cut in chunks 1 red pepper, cut in chunks 1 cans tomato soup 1 can tomatoes 1 can pineapple chunks or tidbits (398 ml / 14 oz), drain and reserve juice 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 tablespoons cornstarch
-Slice farmer sausage into chunks. Cook in oven -In a frying pan add to farmer sausage drippings, celery, onions, and peppers and cook until tendercrisp. -Add tomatoes, soup, pineapple, seasonings, sugar and soy sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. -Blend cornstarch with reserved pineapple juice. Add to simmering sausage dish and cook for 2 minutes. -Serve on a bed of rice.
4 cups cut up chicken 20 cups water Chicken oxo to taste 2 chopped onions 5 carrots(cubed) 3 stalks celery (cut into small pieces) 2 tsp. parsley flakes 2 tsp. salt
Spaghetti or your choice of noodles
-Put all ingredients, except for chicken and noodles in pot -Bring to a boil add chicken and simmer for 30 minutes -About 30 min to 1 hour before serving, add noodles -Cook until noodles are tender -SLURP IT UP!!
This is the recipe we have always used but last time we tried making garlic bread with Whole Wheat Bread and it tasted GREAT!
3 cups water
1/3 cup oil 1 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. salt 8 1/2 cups flour 3 Tbsp. yeast 1 egg (beaten)
- Put all ingredients except yeast, egg, cornmeal, and 3 1/2 cups flour in bosch - Knead in low speed - Sprinkle in yeast and add remaining flour 1 cup at a time until dough pulls away from side - Knead on higher speed (very stiff watch bowl!!!) - Knead for five minutes - Shape into 4 loaves, place in cookie sheet let rise. - Brush with egg - Bake @ 400F for 20 min.
We cut the loaves in half, spread butter mixed with Garlic Plus on top and bake on 400F till browned
3 lbs. hamburger 2 cans tomato soup Sprinkle in garlic powder 2 bay leaves 2 stalks celery 2 tsp mustard powder 1 med. onion Seasoning salt About 1 cup pasta sauce About 1 cup water
-Brown hamburger -Add seasoning salt, brown onions and cook celery -Drain grease -Add tomato soup, garlic powder, water and pasta sauce to make desired consistency -Simmer -Boil water and cook 2 handfulls of spagetti with 2 tbsp of oil
We had this salad yesterday and it is SO good, you oughta try it!:)
6 cups chopped lettuce salt 6 hard-cooked eggs, mashed 2 cups frozen peas, thawed 8 to 16 ounces bacon, crisp-cooked, drained, and crumbled 2 cups shredded mild Cheddar cheese 1 cup mayonnaise 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
-1/4 cup sliced green onion with tops -Place 3 cups of the lettuce in bottom of large bowl; sprinkle with salt. -Layer egg over lettuce in bowl and sprinkle with more salt.
-Continue to layer vegetables in this order: peas, remaining lettuce, crumbled -bacon, and shredded cheese, along with light sprinklings of salt. -Combine mayonnaise and sugar; spread over top, spreading to edge of bowl to cover entire salad. -Cover and chill - Garnish with green onion. -This salad serves 12 to 15.
2 cups flour 3 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 4 Tbsp. cream OR 1 Tbsp. shortening 1 cup milk
-Mix all ingredients together well. Add more milk if to thick. Should be a stiff dough but still able to drop by spoon. -Drop on cookie sheet -Bake @ 350F until done (about 8-10 minutes)
-Cut all veggies into bite size pieces
-Place first 5 ing. in large roaster
-Add and enough water to make runny
-Cook for 2 hrs. @ 350F until veggies are soft
-Add enough flour (mixed with water to make a paste) to stew to make thick
-Add beef oxo to taste.
